Super-cool idea. Props to Nat Geo on The Human Family Tree
“As part of its recent upfront strategy, National Geographic Channel took DNA samples from more than 600 advertising professionals working at top agencies in the US including Starcom, MediaEdge, Zenith and OMD. The promotion was also tied to the network’s upcoming special, The Human Family Tree debuting this Sunday at 9p, where 200 random neighbors living in Queens, NY had their DNA tested through the Genographic Project, a five-year research study examining the ancient migration routes of all humanity. Among the results from the advertising pros, we learn 9% of the women shared an ancestor with Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert while 40% of the men shared an ancestor with U2’s Bono.” (via Cynopsis http://bit.ly/CHed6)
